In the days following the tragic death of Matthew Perry, questions have swirled about the cause of his sudden and shocking demise. Born in 1969 to a Canadian mother and an American father, Perry made his film debut in the 1988 movie “A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon,” which also featured the late River Phoenix. He went on to have roles in various TV shows, including “Growing Pains,” “Sydney” alongside Valerie Bertinelli, and “Beverly Hills, 90210.”

However, his big break came when he portrayed the witty Chandler in Friends, a role he reprised for all ten seasons of the show from 1994 to 2004.

Despite his well-documented battle, early reports indicated that no drugs were found at the scene of his death, and authorities did not suspect foul play. Law enforcement sources have now revealed that tests run on Perry showed no presence of fentanyl or meth in his system at the time of his passing. More comprehensive toxicology tests are underway, but it could be several months before results are available.
