The Remarkable Discovery of Hidden Treasures: A Fascinating Tale
Over the years, there have been numerous stories of people stumbling upon hidden treasures. One man, before being forced to leave the country, embarked on a quest to locate the family property that his father had concealed.

A Father’s Teachings
This man had learned the art of finding hidden objects from his father, but the journey was far from easy. There were doubts about whether these items could withstand the test of time, given that they had been hidden for seventy years.

Fortunately, the items were successfully located, and to their delight, they were found to be in excellent condition. The man returned to his childhood home and made his way to the attic, where he began his search for a small cord attached to one of the wooden panels. Opening the shelves using this cord revealed a remarkable array of possessions from decades past.

Over the years, the man had worried that the numerous roof repairs on the house might have caused damage to the hidden treasures. However, his fears were laid to rest as he uncovered seventy packages carefully concealed in the attic by his father.

“All of them spoke in the same voice,” he recalled.

Despite his efforts, he couldn’t decipher the language that would enable him to remove the boards as his father had intended. Some of the packages had been opened, while others remained wrapped in brown paper. The collection included newspapers, hat hangers, paintings, skis, paperweights, pencils, umbrellas, school desks, unopened cigarettes, badges, books, socks, and sewing supplies. Remarkably, everything was still in functioning condition.

A Museum’s Acquisition
Due to their significant historical value, the treasures are now housed in a museum located in the Czech city of Usti nad Labem. The museum director expressed astonishment at discovering such a hidden “German property” in the area.

“The packages were very cleverly concealed in the skylight vault,” the museum director remarked.

The amount of items that fit within such a small space was truly unbelievable. It took over an hour to remove everything and examine the treasures.

While the man, Schlattner, regretfully couldn’t keep the treasures himself, he agreed to assist in locating the property. Reflecting on the discovery, he said, “We thought we’d come back one day and find a property there.”
