Carol Burnett and Lucille Ball fight over Tim Conway in this hilarious sketch

“The Carol Burnett Show” was must-see TV in the 1960s and 1970s. It was even more important to tune in when Lucille Ball was on the hit sketch comedy show.

The First Lady of Television made the perfect sidekick to Carol, especially when the duo appeared in a skit as dueling car rental agents.

Physical comedy collided with hilarious commentary for added effect. As a bonus, Tim Conway was tossed into the mix for even more laughs.

Rental Cars
Carol and Lucy’s work stations were set up for disaster.

They were too close together and allowed for each other to bid for business from the other’s customers.

To say they are aggressive is an understatement. It was all out war between these two when someone approached to rent a car!

After Lucy stole Carol’s own father as a customer, it was on!

All rules were thrown out the window and the fierce competition became brutal.

Tim Conway was the unlucky man who approached them next.

The hilarious duo dragged him back and forth between their respective counters by his tie. He didn’t know if he was coming or going. He just wanted a rental car!

The tug of war with Tim led to an all out bidding war for his business as the two women hurled insults at each other.

Carol Burnett And Lucille Ball’s Friendship
Carol and Lucille worked well together.

They had terrific on stage chemistry because they were good friends in real life.

The beloved TV redhead sent flowers to Carol every year on her birthday.

And, Lucille died on Carol Burnett’s birthday in 1989 and Carol still received flowers from her friend that very day.

You can watch these friends in real life have a lot of fun together in the hilarious skit in the video below. You won’t expect what happens at the end!

“The Carol Burnett Show” is still fun to watch well over 40 years past its ending.

This classic variety show has stood the test of time. You never knew what the next skit was going to be about and that was the fun of it.

They don’t make shows like this anymore!
