Woman Who Filmed Viral Coldplay Cuddle Reveals If She Made Money

Cabot swaying together on the jumbotron. The problem? Byron is married, and the embrace sparked immediate speculation. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin even joked from the stage, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”

Appearing on This Morning (July 21), Springer told hosts Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond that despite the video going viral with over 125 million views, she hasn’t made a penny. “I’ve actually made no money from the video itself or the views. It’s not monetised,” she said. Springer explained she was simply filming to “capture the moment” and initially didn’t think the footage was a big deal — until she and friends watched it back and realized just how “bad” it looked.

While some have criticized her for posting the video, Springer insisted she doesn’t regret it. “There were over 50,000 people there. I’m not the only one who caught it on camera,” she said. “If it wasn’t me, it would’ve been someone else.” Speaking previously to LADbible, Springer added she “doesn’t respect cheaters” and hopes the video gave the affected partners clarity.

The fallout from the video was swift. Andy Byron resigned from his role as CEO of the software company Astronomer, which had placed both him and Cabot on leave during an internal investigation. Astronomer’s board confirmed Byron’s resignation and emphasized their commitment to accountability. Springer, meanwhile, is now known for filming one of the most viral concert clips of the year — though it hasn’t made her any richer.
