My Wife Outsmarted a Thief
My 7-month pregnant wife and I were waiting in a long grocery store line. Finally, as we reached the counter, a large man shoved our cart, making my wife stumble. “Step off, I’m in a rush!” he barked.
Furious, I was ready to confront him, but my wife grabbed my arm and said calmly, “Don’t waste your energy. Just watch.”
I hesitated but followed her lead. The man paid and headed for the exit. Suddenly, two security guards grabbed him. He shouted, but they held firm.
“How did you know?” I asked, stunned.
She smiled. “I saw him stuffing electronics into his jacket when he pushed me.”
I was speechless. She had calmly outsmarted a thief. As we left, I felt a deep sense of pride. Her sharp intuition had turned a tense moment into a quiet victory.
