She Once Stunned Magazine Readers With Her Beauty — Take a Look at Her Now at 62

Kathy Ireland ruled the modeling world in the 1980s and 1990s, appearing in 13 consecutive Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues and becoming one of the most recognizable faces of her era. Discovered at just 16 by Elite Model Management, her radiant smile, red hair, and blue eyes quickly made her a magazine favorite. But behind the glamour, Ireland experienced the darker side of the industry and has spoken openly about the pressures and boundary violations she faced as a young model.

Even at the height of her fame, Ireland knew modeling wouldn’t last forever. While expanding into acting, she focused on building something more enduring. In the early 1990s, she founded Kathy Ireland Worldwide (KIWW), starting with a sock line that sold over 100 million pairs. What began modestly grew into a global licensing empire. Guided in part by mentor Warren Buffett, Ireland expanded into home furnishings and other lifestyle products, focusing on affordable quality for everyday families.

Today, KIWW generates billions in annual retail sales and has earned Ireland a place in the Licensing Hall of Fame. She credits her success to hard work, teamwork, and lessons learned from her father about always exceeding expectations.

Beyond business, Ireland is deeply committed to philanthropy, supporting causes related to education, healthcare, and poverty. She is also a devoted mother of three with her husband, physician Greg Olsen.

Now 62, Kathy Ireland embraces aging with gratitude and optimism. Staying active through outdoor activities like hiking and surfing, she prioritizes balance over strict diets. Still vibrant and grounded, she remains an inspiring example of reinvention, resilience, and purpose beyond fame.
