Shefali Jariwala, the beloved Bollywood actress, television star, and model, has died at the age of 42, leaving fans and colleagues in shock across India. She passed away on Thursday night at Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Mumbai after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest, according to local media reports. Jariwala first rose to national fame in 2002 after featuring in the hugely popular music video “Kaanta Laga” by DJ Doll.
The bold performance instantly made her a household name and launched her career in Indian entertainment. She later appeared in several films, including Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Shaitani Rasmein, and Hudugaru, while also building a strong presence on television.
A new generation of fans embraced her after her appearance on Bigg Boss 13, India’s version of Big Brother, where she once again captured public attention. Her final on-screen role was in the TV series Shaitani Rasmein, which aired in 2024. Shefali is survived by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi.
