She’s 82 and still turning heads – better sit before you see her stunning transformation

Many look back on the 1980s with nostalgia for its glamour and unforgettable TV shows — and few shined brighter than Dynasty’s Linda Evans. With her grace, warmth, and timeless beauty, she became one of television’s most beloved stars. Born Linda Evenstad in 1942 in Hartford, Connecticut, she grew up in a Norwegian-American family that moved to North Hollywood when she was a baby. Though shy, she was encouraged to pursue acting in high school, eventually earning her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame — fittingly near the theater where she once worked as a cashier.

Her early career included small TV roles, but fame came with The Big Valley, followed by her iconic role as Krystle Carrington on Dynasty. Paired against Joan Collins’s fiery Alexis, Evans’s kind yet strong Krystle became a cultural touchstone. She won a Golden Globe and multiple People’s Choice Awards, admired as much for her talent as her humility.

Behind the fame, Evans faced heartbreak when her husband John Derek left her for a teenager, Bo Derek, and later weathered health and personal challenges. After Dynasty ended, she retreated to Washington state, focusing on peace, family, and spirituality.

Now 82, Evans lives quietly on her lush 70-acre estate near Olympia. She still radiates strength and authenticity — a Hollywood legend who chose grace over glitter, and whose legacy endures as beautifully as ever.
