Kohl’s has announced the planned closure of 27 underperforming stores across 13 states, representing a small portion of its 1,150 locations nationwide. The leadership transition is also underway, as CEO Tom Kingsbury prepares to step down. Ashley Buchanan, currently CEO of Michaels, will assume the role, while Kingsbury will remain as an advisor until May.
