A Creamy, Cheesy Comfort Food Classic

This creamy, cheesy beef casserole is easy, budget-friendly, and perfect for feeding a family. It’s a cozy classic that works for weeknights, potlucks, or leftovers.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef, browned
  • 2 cans (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 diced white onion
  • 8 oz egg noodles, cooked al dente
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3 oz cream cheese
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar (or more)
  • 1 tsp each: garlic salt, salt
  • 1 tsp sugar

Instructions

  1. Beef Sauce: Cook beef, drain, add seasonings, tomato sauce, and sugar. Simmer 20 min.
  2. Noodles: Boil noodles until tender; drain.
  3. Creamy Layer: Mix onion, sour cream, and cream cheese until smooth.
  4. Assemble: Layer half noodles, half creamy mix, half beef sauce. Repeat. Top with cheddar.
  5. Bake: 350°F for 25 min until bubbly and golden. Rest a few minutes before serving.

Tips: Add veggies, spice it up, or prep ahead for an easy bake later.
