Ozzy Osbourne’s Passing Sparks Worldwide Mourning

Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary frontman of Black Sabbath, passed away on July 22, 2025, at the age of 76. According to his recently released death certificate, the cause of death was an acute myocardial infarction and cardiac arrest outside of a hospital. He had also been living with coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease, which contributed to his declining health in recent years.

The beloved rock icon was laid to rest near the lake at his home in Buckinghamshire on July 31, following a public memorial in Birmingham. His final performance, “Back to the Beginning,” reunited the original Black Sabbath members weeks before his passing, marking an emotional end to a groundbreaking career. Ozzy’s family, including wife Sharon and children Jack and Kelly, appeared visibly heartbroken during the funeral proceedings.

Images from the service captured Sharon Osbourne leaning on her children for support, dressed in black and overcome with grief. One poignant moment caught widespread attention: Sharon wore Ozzy’s wedding band around her neck, a simple gesture that deeply moved fans. Online, tributes poured in, with many noting Sharon’s fragility and the profound bond she shared with her husband of decades.

Supporters gathered at Black Sabbath Bridge in Birmingham, leaving flowers and messages to honor Ozzy’s memory. Through tears and silence, the Osbourne family stood together, surrounded by love from fans worldwide. As tributes continue, Ozzy is remembered not only as a music pioneer but as a man deeply loved by his family and admirers alike.
