Teenager Wesley grew tired of doing chores without getting paid. One evening, after complaining about dinner, he demanded his parents pay him for tasks like taking out the trash, washing dishes, and walking the dog. To his surprise, they agreed—but with a catch. They set up a chore chart, explaining he’d earn money only for the chores he completed.
But there was more: Wesley would now have to pay for his own meals, including his mother’s cooking, as well as clothes, rides, and laundry.
