Hearing My Daughter Say ‘I Miss You, Dad’

Allie thought her husband Charles had died in a tragic car accident 18 years ago, leaving her alone to raise their newborn daughter, Susie. She never saw his body her mother-in-law Diane arranged a quick, closed-casket funeral and convinced Allie to trust her. For years, Allie lived with grief, telling Susie stories about a father who was gone forever.

But one day, Allie overheard Susie whispering “I miss you, Dad” on the landline. Confused and heartbroken, she discovered Susie had found Charles alive online. He had disappeared right after Susie’s birth, pressured by Diane who feared the truth would ruin her career.
