Feeling betrayed and alone, Sarah packed a bag for Luc and herself and left for her sister’s house. Tom begged for forgiveness, calling and texting constantly, but Sarah needed space.After days apart, and on her sister’s encouragement, Sarah agreed to meet Tom.

Seeing him worn and remorseful, she heard his sincere apology and promise to change. He had started therapy and was committed to putting their family first. Sarah agreed to give him one more chance but made it clear that if he let them down again, she would leave for good.

To prove himself, Tom took on full-time baby care — diaper changes, night feedings, and all. It was hard and exhausting, but slowly he learned how much love and effort raising a child requires.
