Chloe, owner of a 2-year-old Great Pyrenees named Dandy, went viral after dyeing her dog bright red to deter thieves. She explained on TikTok that rare breeds like Dandy are often targeted and that the unusual color might make him less desirable to steal — or at least more recognizable.

Using only pet-safe, vegan dye, Chloe says the color also makes Dandy more approachable, especially to kids. While some viewers praised her creativity and say Dandy looks happy, others criticized the move as unnecessary and attention-seeking.’
