Gene Hackman’s Wife Made Haunting Internet Search Days Before She Died

Hackman is believed to have passed away after a week from heart disease with complications linked to his Alzheimer’s disease.

It’s possible that the Oscar winner didn’t realize his wife and sole caretaker was dead, given his own severe condition at the time of her death.

A review of her open bookmarks shared how she was actively researching medical conditions linked to COVID-19 and flu-like symptoms. The searches included questions about whether or not COVID could result in dizziness or nosebleeds, suggesting that she was aware and concerned about her deadly symptoms.

She also mentioned in another email to her masseuse how Hackman had woken up on February 11 with flu and cold-like symptoms, but a COVID test was negative, and she would need to reschedule her appointment in an abundance of caution.

Gene Hackman’s partner, Betsky Arakwa, was searching the internet for some information on COVID-19 symptoms and breathing techniques days before her tragic passing.

Arakwa reportedly died at the age of 65 in February of hantavirus pulmonary syndrome, which is a rare rodent-borne disease that can lead to a range of symptoms that entail flu-like illness, dizziness, and headaches.

Authorities have released law enforcement body camera footage from outside the home of Gene Hackman, where the actor and wife Betsy Arakawa were found dead in late February. The outhouses were infested with rodents, TMZ reported
