Teen Suspect in Austin Metcalf Stabbing Cites Self-Defense

A tragic incident at Kuykendall Stadium in Frisco, Texas, left the community grieving after Austin Metcalf, a junior at Memorial High School, was fatally stabbed during a confrontation with Karmelo Anthony, a student from Centennial High School. The altercation occurred on April 2, when Austin and his twin brother, Hunter, were preparing for track events.

Karmelo, after being asked to move from their tent, allegedly became aggressive and pulled a knife from his backpack, stabbing Austin in the chest.Despite efforts to save him, Austin died in his brother’s arms. Karmelo was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
