That’s when her brother-in-law, an air traffic controller, suggested she consider an airplane as her new home. Ussery purchased a decommissioned Boeing 727 for just $2,000, plus shipping costs. Nicknamed “Little Trump” after Donald Trump’s private plane, the aircraft became her blank canvas. She spent under $30,000 renovating the interior, creating one of the most impressive transformations of its kind.
Major Refurbishment
The 138-foot-long Boeing 727 offered nearly 1,500 square feet of space, making it ideal for conversion. Ussery parked the plane nose-first over a lake on her property, creating a scenic view from what used to be the cockpit.
