Kurt Russell’s Health and Career Update

Kurt Russell, an American actor known for films like The Hateful Eight, made his screen debut at 12 and earned a Golden Globe nomination for Silkwood in 1983. Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, to artist Bing Russell and ballerina Louise Julia Russell, Kurt has had a long, successful career.

Recently, The Globe reported that Russell, 65, may be suffering from Peutz-Jeghers Syndrome (PJS), a condition linked to colon cancer. He reportedly developed ulcers under his lower lip, described by Dr. Stuart Fischer as “precancerous lesions” that require immediate treatment.

Russell was also scheduled to be inducted into Oklahoma City’s Hall of Great Western Performers but had to postpone due to a surprise medical issue requiring hip replacement surgery. Despite the setback, he expressed gratitude for the honor being rescheduled for 2022.

Fans and colleagues are wishing Russell a speedy recovery and continued success.
