We all like to change up our look now and then, but few transformations are as striking as Rosa Ramirez’s. After 25 years of wearing her hair the same way, Rosa, from the US, finally decided to cut her 1.5-meter-long hair in 2015. Her reason? To donate 4 feet of it to Locks of Love, a nonprofit that creates wigs for children with cancer.

Rosa’s hair was so long she could step on it, and her husband had urged her for years to consider a cut. When she finally did, she said, “It will make somebody’s day a little brighter.” The dramatic change left her looking refreshed, showing the power of a bold new style for a good cause.
