Three firefighters who were injured after a partial collapse at a vacant rowhome fire died Monday, Mayor Brandon Scott’s Office confirmed. According to city officials, Lt. Paul Butrim, firefighter/paramedic Kelsey Sadler and EMT/firefighter Kenny Lacayo were killed in the fire. Firefighters were called just before 6 a.m. to a two-alarm fire in the 200 block of South Stricker Street to battle a fire at a three-story vacant rowhome.
