A video captured the moment when Amish men in Ohio banded together to lift and relocate a pole barn on Joseph Hochstetler’s farm in northern Knox County. The extraordinary event unfolded early on Saturday, March 9, showcasing the remarkable strength and cooperation within this tight-knit community.

Approximately 250 men surrounded the barn, strategically positioning themselves on all four sides to execute the impressive lift. With precision and coordination, they walked steadily, transporting the entire structure over 150 feet to its new location.
As the barn reached its destination, a male voice behind the camera expressed some uncertainty about the plan, stating, “They said they were going to turn it around. Maybe I’m mistaken.” Women dressed in traditional Amish attire joined the scene as the men approached the land in Danville. With keen interest, they observed the careful maneuvering of the structure.

A female voice behind the camera remarked, “They’ve got to straighten it up.” The men responded by turning the barn ninety degrees, with the voice noting, “Oh look, they’re twisting it,” before gently placing it down at its new location near a stack of logs.
