Goldie Hawn & Kurt Russell Celebrate Giant Milestone She Says Would Have Never Happened If They Married

When Goldie Hawn met Kurt Russell in 1966, while filming The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band, they kind of liked each other but they never got really close and, certainly, could not imagine that they would go on and spend almost forty years together. At the time, 21-year-old Hawn found 16-year-old Russell handsome, but too young for her, so she never made a move, and he didn’t make a move either.
So, after they were done filming the movie they went on with their lives, and they even married different people before they met again and became a couple. Hawn married twice and got divorced after having two children with her ex-husband. Russell also got married and had a son, but he got divorced in 1983.

That year, they met again while filming Swing Shift, and that was when they realized that there was something about each other that was bringing them close.

The two actors’ first date was at the Playboy Club, where they went swing dancing, and the next thing they knew they arranged to meet at Hawn’s newly bought house.
The couple got to the house and only then did Hawn realize that she had forgotten the key, so they really had to break in.
“We eventually found our way upstairs, looking around at imaginary furniture and we were in the imaginary bedroom, now, and we are realistically having sex when the police walked in because we had to break into the place to get in,” Russell said in an interview with People.
