Now, Melania has taken her efforts to the next level, becoming the first First Lady to sit on the UN Security Council, which consists of 15 member states. The Council addresses issues like peace, education, technology, and cyber security. Melania will preside over the Council, marking the first time a First Lady from any country has done so. According to sources, this marks another groundbreaking achievement in her role. US Ambassador to the UN Michael Waltz praised Melania’s appointment, highlighting her dedication to children and her alignment with the UN’s mission for lasting peace. Her ongoing efforts include reinforcing the Be Best initiative and championing the Take it Down Act, signed into law in May 2025, which targets online predators who distribute non-consensual sexual content.
