The Latest Trump Poll Update Is Surprising Even His Supporters

Ten months into his second term, President Trump continues to project confidence, pointing to economic growth and foreign-policy achievements. But a recent national poll tells a different story. His approval rating has fallen to 37%, down sharply from earlier in the year.

The survey shows that economic pressure, especially the rising cost of living, now dominates public concern. Nearly half of respondents said everyday expenses such as housing, food, and healthcare are their top worry. While unemployment remains low, many Americans feel their household budgets are under increasing strain.

That frustration appears to be affecting public confidence. About 61% of those surveyed believe Trump’s policies have made economic conditions worse, while just 27% say they have helped. On foreign policy, views are similarly negative. A majority believe the administration’s trade disputes, military actions, and strained alliances have weakened America’s global standing.

Concerns about presidential authority are also growing. Many respondents feel the president has exceeded his powers through executive actions and military decisions. With the midterm elections approaching, the political climate appears volatile. While Trump’s core supporters remain loyal, a significant number of voters now say their primary motivation is voting in opposition to him.

Even as Trump dismisses the poll results as inaccurate, the data highlight a nation divided by economic anxiety, foreign-policy doubts, and growing concern over presidential power — raising serious questions about what lies ahead in the next election cycle.
