A beautiful woman was sitting next to Little Johnny on a plane when sudden turbulence shook the cabin. Moments later, the aircraft dipped sharply, and passengers began to panic. The captain came over the intercom and said, “Folks, we’re experiencing severe issues. Please remain calm.” Those words made the entire plane tense—everyone except Little Johnny.
He turned to the woman and said shyly, “Miss… if this plane goes down, I don’t want to leave this world without doing something brave.” The woman blinked. “What is it?” “I’ve never given anyone a hug during an emergency. Could I… hug you?” She smiled warmly and pulled him close. The hug calmed them both. A moment later, Johnny whispered, “Miss… I’ve also never held someone’s hand on a plane.”
She chuckled and reached for his hand. “There. Now you have.” The turbulence grew worse, and people gasped. Johnny looked at her again. “Miss, I’ve never told anyone a secret before a big moment.” She leaned in. “Go ahead.” “I want to be a pilot someday. Just like my dad.”
Before she could respond, the plane suddenly leveled off. Seconds later, the captain announced they were safe. As passengers exited the plane thanking the captain, Little Johnny shouted proudly: “Great save, Dad! Maybe next time let it shake a little longer — I was getting to the good part!” The woman burst out laughing, relieved and amused at the same time.
