The suspect, Tyler Robinson, was apprehended shortly after and charged with several counts, including the murder of Charlie.

At Charlie’s memorial, Erika reflected on their marriage and her new role as CEO of Turning Point USA. She spoke about the heart-wrenching moment she saw Charlie’s lifeless body in the hospital. Describing the emotional shock, she mentioned that despite the tragedy, she could still see the man she loved. She revealed that the surgeon had told her Charlie’s death was instantaneous, sparing him from any pain or suffering.
