The Uvalde community is mourning the loss of Regina Santos-Aviles, a 35-year-old congressional staffer for U.S. Representative Tony Gonzales. She was taken to a San Antonio hospital after being found seriously injured outside her home and later passed away. Santos-Aviles served as regional district director for Rep. Gonzales’ office since November 2021, where she played a key role in helping local communities gain access to resources and development opportunities. In a statement, Rep.
