Trump expresses gratitude for Melania’s care of Barron and lovingly recalls his mother as an ‘angel.’

At a Mother’s Day celebration for military families in the White House’s East Room, Donald Trump paid tribute to two important women in his life: his wife, Melania, and his late mother, Mary Anne MacLeod Trump. He praised Melania’s devotion to their 19-year-old son, Barron, calling her “one of the best moms” he’s ever known, and remembered his mother as “an angel” who could also be tough when needed.

Melania spoke about the challenges of raising a teenager, the unique emotional depth of motherhood, and the sacrifices made by military mothers. She encouraged them to care for themselves, noting that their strength shapes a brighter future for the next generation.
