2) Everybody loved Elvis Presley in this movie – but few noticed the weird detail about his hair

Elvis’s co-star, Debra Paget, left a lasting impression. He reportedly fell for her, even proposing, but she turned him down. Priscilla Presley later copied Debra’s hairstyle to catch Elvis’s attention. Originally, Clint dies in the film — upsetting Elvis’s mother so much that producers added a closing silhouette scene of him singing, causing a funny hair color continuity error.

The film also features charming bloopers — like zippers and 1950s cars in the 1860s — that add to its vintage appeal. Love Me Tender isn’t Elvis’s most polished film, but it captures the moment he stepped into Hollywood, full of heart, ambition, and star power.
