Soap opera legend Denise Alexander, best known for her role as Dr. Lesley Webber on General Hospital, has died at age 85. The news was confirmed two months after her passing on March 5, 2025.

Alexander rose to fame in the 1960s on Days of Our Lives, where she met her husband, Richard Colla. In 1973, she made a groundbreaking move to General Hospital, where she became one of the first female doctors on daytime TV. Her role spanned decades, with returns to the show up until 2021.
