A police officer discovered a little kitten, but when he checked the security footage, his smile faded

Officer Johnson expected a quiet day—until he heard frantic meowing from the alley. There, in a soggy box, was the tiniest kitten he’d ever seen, barely alive. He rushed it inside, warming it and feeding it with an old bottle. But a question nagged at him: who could abandon something so helpless? Security footage revealed the answer: an elderly woman, her face etched with hardship, had lovingly placed the kitten there. She clearly hadn’t wanted to leave it but had no choice. Johnson set out to find her.

An old man at a corner store pointed him toward a van near the railroad tracks. There, Johnson found the woman, Maggie, feeding a group of strays.
