Schiff, Pelosi Complain About Trump’s Mass Pardon Of J6 Defendants

Adam Schiff and Rep. Nancy Pelosi are criticizing President Donald Trump for pardoning most Jan.

6 defendants, calling it an abuse of power and an insult to law enforcement.

Schiff, speaking on MSNBC, condemned the move as “obscene,” particularly Trump’s pardon of a Proud Boys leader. Pelosi called it a “betrayal” of officers who defended the Capitol.

While Biden had issued preemptive pardons to his allies, Schiff and Pelosi argue that Trump’s decision to pardon trespassers and other nonviolent offenders undermines justice and democracy.
