A tragic collision between an American Airlines plane and a US Army Black Hawk helicopter has become one of the deadliest US air crashes in recent years, with all 67 people onboard presumed dead. The American Airlines flight carried 64 people, while the Black Hawk had three military personnel. Investigators are examining data from both aircraft’s black boxes,

revealing that the plane was at 325ft and the helicopter at 200ft, with experts still uncertain about the 100ft altitude discrepancy. The helicopter’s black box, submerged in the Potomac River, is being recovered. NTSB officials are working to clarify the cause, with President Trump attributing the crash to the helicopter flying too high above its limit.
