Man Says His Wife Was Aboard the Plane That Crashed near Washington, DC – Her Last Message Revealed

A tragic mid-air collision on January 29, 2025, between a commercial flight from Wichita, Kansas, and a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter near Washington, D.C., has left authorities fearing no survivors. The crash sent both aircraft into the icy Potomac River.

One of the victims, Hamaad Raza, was texting his wife as her flight neared landing. When her messages suddenly stopped, he feared the worst. Moments later, news broke that her flight had been involved in the collision. “I’m just praying that somebody’s pulling her out of the river,” Raza said, heartbroken.

The flight, operated by PSA Airlines on behalf of American Airlines, was carrying 64 people. The Black Hawk helicopter, with three soldiers aboard, was on a routine training flight. Search teams, battling freezing temperatures and harsh conditions, have recovered at least 19 bodies so far, but no survivors have been found.

American Airlines has confirmed the crash and is assisting in the search efforts. President Trump and other officials have expressed condolences, while first responders continue their search in the treacherous waters.

The nation is reeling from this devastating disaster, which has left families in anguish and the country mourning.
