**Mel Gibson Loses Malibu Home in Devastating Wildfires**

Actor Mel Gibson’s Malibu home of nearly 15 years has been destroyed in wildfires sweeping Los Angeles County. The fires, driven by strong winds and dry conditions, have claimed over 10,000 structures, at least 10 lives, and forced 300,000 evacuations.

Gibson, speaking from Austin, Texas, where he was recording a podcast, shared the emotional toll of the loss. “It’s obviously devastating, but it’s just stuff,” he said, adding humor about the situation: “The chickens survived—they’re happy and laying eggs.”

Many neighbors, including actor Ed Harris, also lost their homes in what officials call the worst wildfire in Los Angeles history. Firefighters continue to battle the blaze, struggling with 0% containment due to harsh conditions.

Despite losing personal belongings, Gibson expressed gratitude for his family’s safety. “Things can be replaced, but everyone I love is safe, and that’s all that matters,” he said. His story is one of resilience, reminding us of the importance of loved ones in times of adversity.
