Marla Adams, Star of The Young and the Restless, Dies at 85

Emmy-winning actress Marla Adams, best known for her role as Dina Abbott Mergeron on The Young and the Restless, has passed away at 85 in Los Angeles.

Born in Ocean City, NJ, on August 28, 1938, Adams attended The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. She began her career on Broadway in The Visit and appeared in Splendor in the Grass alongside Natalie Wood.

Her TV career took off with The Secret Storm (1968-1974), but her most notable role came in 1982 on The Young and the Restless. Though her initial run ended after three years, Adams returned as Dina in 1991, 1996, 2008, and again in 2017, earning a Daytime Emmy for her emotional performance.

Fans took to social media to mourn her, writing, “Rest in peace, Marla Adams. You will be missed,” and “She was incredibly talented.”

Marla Adams leaves behind a lasting legacy in television and theater.
