The Story of the Woman Who Had a Daughter at 66 and Has Been Living With Society’s Rejection Ever Since

Adriana Iliescu made headlines in 2005 when, at 66, she became the world’s oldest mother, giving birth to her daughter, Eliza. Despite criticism, Adriana embraced motherhood with energy and discussed her plans for more children.

Adriana’s path was marked by challenges, including late-in-life pursuit of motherhood through in-vitro fertilization. Eliza, the sole surviving triplet, faced complications but thrived.

Now at 83, Adriana continues to write children’s books and work as a part-time lecturer. She’s ensured Eliza’s future with legal arrangements.

Eliza, an accomplished student, follows her mother’s academic footsteps, and their strong bond persists.
