A medical emergency during a White House press conference forced President Donald Trump to shorten his speech. Trump was then swearing in Dr. Memhet Oz, a television personality who would be the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) administrator under Trump.
According to the Irish Star, a girl passed out during the ceremony, so Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt ended the briefing and asked the reporters to leave the room.
A “minor family member” fainted during the ceremony, the White House later confirmed, but they were now okay. “A minor family member fainted during Dr. Oz’s swearing-in ceremony in the Oval Office,” the statement said. We are glad to hear that she is doing well.
